These terms cover monoglyphaudio.com, buying a plugin here, and using the plugins. They're written to be read once and understood. Where a heading has a plain-words summary, the summary is what we mean.

Who runs this

monoglyphaudio.com and the Monoglyph Audio plugins are made and operated by Monoglyph Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17364027), registered office 128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX. Monoglyph Audio is a trading name of Monoglyph Ltd; when these terms say "we", that is who you are dealing with. Contact: hello@monoglyphaudio.com.

By using the site, installing a plugin or buying a licence you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use them.

What you're buying

A licence to use one plugin, for one person, on the computers that person uses, for as long as they like. Each product page says what the plugin does, which formats it comes in and what it runs on. Prices are in US dollars, with fixed prices in pounds and euros for the UK and the eurozone; anywhere else the checkout converts to your currency at the day's rate. Prices in pounds and euros include VAT. Anywhere else, sales tax or VAT is added at checkout where your country charges it. The price you see before you press pay is the price you pay.

Every paid plugin has a full trial, fourteen days from first run, with nothing held back. Use it in real sessions before you decide.

Ordering and payment

Licences are sold through Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd, 30 Old Bailey, London EC4M 7AU, company number 8172165; Paddle.com Inc. for buyers in the US; and Paddle.com (Canada) Ltd for buyers in Canada), our merchant of record and authorised reseller. That means you buy the licence from Paddle: Paddle takes the payment, issues your invoice, works out and collects sales tax and VAT, and handles cancellations and refunds. Paddle's checkout buyer terms apply to that transaction, and "Paddle" or "PADDLE.NET" is what appears on your card statement. The software itself is licensed to you by Monoglyph Ltd under these terms.

Your licence key is delivered by email to the address you give at checkout, normally within a minute of the payment clearing, and it appears on the order-complete page as well. The key is the product: there is nothing physical to ship. If you're under 18, ask a parent or guardian to buy it for you.

Cancelling and refunds

The short version is on its own page, the refund policy; this is the same policy in full.

Refunds and cancellations are handled by Paddle, our merchant of record, under Paddle's refund policy. Paddle took your payment and holds your invoice, so Paddle is also who decides refund requests and gives the money back. We don't run a refund policy of our own on top of Paddle's.

• Try before you buy. Every paid plugin has a full fourteen-day trial with nothing held back. It is there so you can decide with the plugin in your own sessions, before any money changes hands.
• Your right to cancel. Consumers in the UK and EU have a legal right to cancel a distance purchase within fourteen days. Because a licence key is delivered the moment you pay, the checkout asks you to agree to immediate delivery and to acknowledge that, once the key is delivered and you start using it, that right is lost, as the law allows for digital content. The detail is in Paddle's buyer terms, which you accept at checkout.
• If the plugin is faulty or not as described, your statutory rights apply in full and nothing here reduces them. Tell us and we'll fix it; where we can't, Paddle refunds under its policy for defective products.
• How to ask. Go to paddle.net, Paddle's buyer portal, or email us at hello@monoglyphaudio.com and we'll put it in front of Paddle ourselves. Both routes end in the same place.
• After a refund, or if a card dispute reverses the payment, the licence key from that purchase stops working. Nothing you made with the plugin is touched.

Your statutory rights are unaffected by any of this.

Your licence

A licence is for one person. It lets you install and use the plugin on the computers you personally use, up to the activation limit shown on the product page and at checkout (two for Strand), for as long as you like, including every update to that major version. You can move it between machines by deactivating one, in the plugin or in your account. You can't resell the licence, share the key, or use it to build a service for others. If a key turns up shared widely we may disable it, and we'll tell you first.

The plugin checks its licence with our server when you activate or deactivate, and at most once a day to confirm the machine is still licensed. It keeps working offline; a missed check never turns it off. If a licence is refunded or revoked, the plugin says so and passes audio through unchanged.

Trials are complete and time-limited. When a trial ends the plugin passes audio through untouched until a key is entered; nothing you made is deleted.

What you make with the plugin is yours. We claim nothing over your music, your patterns or your presets.

Free plugins

Some plugins are free: the product page says so, and there is nothing to buy, no key and no account. Everything else on this page applies to a free plugin too, except the parts about buying, paying, keys, activations, trials and refunds. You can install a free plugin on as many computers as you like and use it for anything, including commercial music, and what you make with it is yours. Please link people to its page on this site rather than passing the installer around, so they get the current version; don't sell it or bundle it with something you sell. You paid nothing, so our liability for a free plugin is limited to what the law doesn't let us exclude.

Your account

Buying gives you an account at account.monoglyphaudio.com, signed in by a link sent to your email, no password. It shows your keys and activations and lets you free a machine or re-send a key. You never need it to use the plugin; the key alone is enough.

Updates and support

Updates to the major version you bought are free and come with the same key. We'll keep the plugins working on current versions of macOS and Windows and the hosts we list, fix bugs, and answer support email ourselves; we aim to reply within a working day. A new major version, if there ever is one, is a new product and we'll say so plainly.

What we promise, and don't

We test every release in the hosts we list and validate it with the plugin test tools those hosts use. Beyond the promises above, the software, the site and the licence server are provided as is: we don't promise they'll be uninterrupted or free of every error, that they're fit for a particular purpose, or that a plugin will suit a host we haven't listed. Our liability to you is limited to what you paid for the licence, except where the law doesn't let us limit it (death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, and your statutory rights as a consumer). Nothing here takes away rights you have under the law where you live.

What's ours

The plugins, their code, the manuals, the site, the Monoglyph Audio and plugin names and marks are owned by Monoglyph Ltd and protected by copyright and trade mark law. A licence lets you use a plugin; it doesn't transfer any of that to you. The in-browser demos on the site are free to use for any purpose. What you make with the plugins is yours.

What you can't do

Don't use the plugins or the site for anything unlawful, or to defraud or spam anyone. Don't copy, sell, sublicense or redistribute a plugin or a key, and don't reverse-engineer or remove the licensing, except where the law expressly allows it. Don't interfere with the site or the licence server: no malware, no probing or scanning, no scraping, no attempts to get past the checkout or the trial. Use the site as a person, not a script.

When we can stop you

We can suspend or disable a licence, an account or access to the site if you materially break these terms, if a payment is reversed or charged back, if a key is being shared or resold, if we see fraud or a security risk, or for repeated or serious misuse. Where we reasonably can, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to put it right. A refund reverses the licence as described above.

Changes

If these terms change in a way that matters, the date at the top moves and the change is described in plain words on this page. A licence you already bought keeps the terms it was bought under.

28 September 2026: a section on free plugins; prices in pounds and euros now say they include VAT, as they always did; Paddle's current address, and its Canadian company for buyers in Canada.

8 September 2026: the refund section now follows Paddle's refund policy alone. An earlier draft of this page offered a fourteen-day refund of our own; no licence was sold under that draft.

The legal bit

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, without taking away protections you have under the law where you live. If a part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. These terms, together with Paddle's buyer terms for the purchase itself, are the whole agreement between us about the plugins.
