Most plugins show you a picture of what they might be doing. Ours show you the engine.

A Monoglyph plugin is one idea carried all the way through: written as a library, drawn from the engine, tested in the hosts you use, and sold plainly. Six things we hold to, and how you can check each one.

    The display is the engine

    The interface doesn’t illustrate the audio thread, it reads it. The same code that moves a gate draws it, and your audio is on screen inside the effect.

    The engine is a library

    Every plugin’s core is plain C++ with no interface and no framework, tested on its own before a single knob exists. The plugin is a shell around it.

    Deterministic

    Randomness is seeded, not rolled. Drift, probability and mutation repeat exactly. The same project sounds the same tomorrow, on another machine, in another host.

    Real-time safe

    Nothing allocates and nothing locks on the audio thread. A pattern change hands over atomically, on the cycle boundary, never mid-bar.

    Tested where you use it

    Validated the way hosts validate: pluginval at strictness 10 and Apple’s auval on every release build, sanitizer-checked tests on every commit, signed and notarised packages for macOS and Windows.

    Presets are JSON you can read in a text editor. The notation is a public language, and the table on this site is the file the plugin ships, drawn by a port of its parser.
