Privacy policy
Short version: we collect almost nothing.

Who we are
Monoglyph Audio is a trading name of Monoglyph Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17364027), registered office 128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. Questions, or to exercise any of your rights: hello@monoglyphaudio.com.
This website
No cookies, no trackers, no advertising pixels. Fonts are served from our own domain. The site runs on Cloudflare, which processes technical request data such as your IP address to serve and protect the page; we don't read it, combine it with anything, or keep our own copy. Because we set no non-essential cookies, there's no cookie banner to click.
The "Tell me at launch" form stores the email address you type, which product you asked about and which page you were on, in a database we control on Cloudflare, so we can send you one email when that product launches and one when the launch price ends. Nothing else is sent to that address. Ask and it's deleted.
The in-browser demo on the Strand page runs entirely in your browser. No audio or pattern leaves your machine.
The plugins
Our plugins run inside your DAW and process your audio there. They do not send audio, patterns, presets or usage data anywhere. The one network call a plugin makes is to our licence server, described next, and only when you activate, deactivate, or once a day to confirm a licensed machine is still licensed.
When you buy
Purchases are made through Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd), our merchant of record. Paddle takes the payment and is the controller for the data it collects at checkout: your name, email address, country, payment details and what you bought. Paddle's privacy policy covers that. Paddle tells us your email address, your country and the order, so we can issue your licence key and keep a record of the sale.
Your licence
Our licence server stores your email address, your licence key, and for each activated machine a short label the plugin generates (the operating system, the computer's name and a four-character hash) and the time of activation. That is what lets you see and free up your activations. It stores no audio, no patterns, no usage.
Who else processes your data
- Cloudflare serves this website and hosts the launch-list database.
- Paddle handles checkout, invoices, tax and refunds as merchant of record.
- Our licence server runs on a server we rent in the EU from OVH; nightly encrypted backups go to Cloudflare storage in Europe.
- Email for licence keys and launch notices is sent through a transactional email provider under contract to us.
Where your data lives and how long we keep it
Cloudflare and OVH data centres in the EU and UK. Launch-list addresses are deleted after the launch emails go out, or on request. Licence records are kept for as long as the licence is valid plus the period the law requires us to keep sales records (six years in the UK).
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to processing, and complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. Email us and we'll answer within a month, usually much faster.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top moves and the change is described in plain words here.
